I am Erica Postway, a Certified Residential License Contractor and Roofer, proudly based in Jacksonville, Florida. As a Service Disabled Veteran, I am reaching out to you on behalf of the Wedderburn Housing Development Corporation, a non-profit organization committed to delivering affordable housing solutions to those in need within our community, specifically focusing on homeless women Veterans.

Our mission extends beyond constructing houses; we are dedicated to creating sustainable and supportive environments for families to thrive. Believing that everyone deserves a safe place to call home, I have had the privilege of contributing to various community projects aimed at enhancing living conditions and providing affordable housing solutions.

Recently, we acquired three parcels through the City of Jacksonville, generously deeded to us for development. In the process of subdividing, we aim to construct 5 to 6 homes that adhere to city and state building codes. This initiative, named “Homes for those who served,” is designed to support homeless women Veterans and their families.

Having experienced the challenges of a significant life transition, particularly after 21 years of marriage leading to eviction with three children, I emerged stronger and committed to uplifting, guiding, and supporting others facing similar circumstances. My life’s mission is to convey the message that even when one door closes, there is an opportunity through the window, waiting to be seized.

Wedderburn Housing Development Corporation is dedicated to providing a tranquil home for our country’s Women Veterans and their families, who have selflessly served to keep us safe. I invite you to join us on this meaningful journey as we contribute to the well-being of those who have served by providing homes in return.

Thank you for considering our mission, and I look forward to the possibility of collaboration.
